The 19th Annual Athens, AL Storytelling Festival kicks off Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025 with our Student Storytelling Showcase, featuring the Student Storytelling Competition winners from Athens City and Limestone County schools.

We resume Thursday night at 7:00PM with our Tellers’ Olio—a sampling of all our professional tellers—including Donald Davis, Carmen Deedy, Bil Lepp and Andy Offutt Irwin, as well as 4 of our Student Tellers.

Come back all day Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24–25, to hear why our 4 featured tellers are some of the most honored performers in the country and around the world.

We’re excited to bring back our Athens State Ghost Stories Friday night, Oct. 24, for a second year, too! Free for any ticketholder.
